products teacher well Gabby Hydroponics is growing plants using water and nutrients so in Hydroponics we actually don't use soil all right that's a great question Jeremiah wow outside Farms tend to use soil or dirt and in when we grow things using Hydroponics indoors we don't use soil and dirt what I and the things yeah what are the benefits of Hydroponics that's a great question Gabby 1 of the benefits of Hydroponics is that we can grow plants indoors all year round so either when it's snowing like it was not too long ago right we're still able to grow crops another benefit is that because we're indoors we don't have to worry about pests too much so we don't need to use chemicals that are that could be potentially harmful okay another big big big benefit of Hydroponics is that we don't use as much water as outside Farms all of our systems recycle the water yeah it was better for the environment some levels where do our students learn and hydroponics we they know a lot of different things yeah they learn about different kinds of plants be more about how to grow plants we learn about the different parts of a plant and what plants need those are just some of the things that we learned in Hydroponics what what skills should we wear wow there's so many what are the most important skills that we learn in Hydroponics is how to work as a team it takes a a lot of different roles and responsibilities to help take care of our plants so our students have to work together whether some students are checking the water others may be pruning some maybe even planting new seeds it's really important that they learn how to work together and communicate another really important skill that students need to be able to follow or learn about is following directions and following sets all right and that's probably like and a lot of your classes where am I growing Jeremiah well we're in a lot of different things and all that so in our nft we actually have some green butter lettuce this is pretty much ready to go our Homer's Market uh we also have some herbs growing in our Tower so we have basil we have some Swiss chard that's the we have some 7 giant collard greens these are also fully grown very mature ready to be grown uh in another part of our nft we have some we have some younger seedlings so we have some basil seedlings here uh this will take a few more weeks before they're fully ready to be solid Market in our bond crop we have some brand new uh uh cucumber seedlings those are just a couple of weeks so maybe just about a month old we have some mature peppers and fought it looks like I can see a nice green pepper here oh this 1's just about ready to come off that'll be great and of course we have power to Mayo seedlings beautiful yellow flowers showing up so calendar brings us so much cheer we don't need a big reason to throw on a smile give us a national day and we'll party for a while but what day is today you might want to know we got the answer so
